Bikram Yoga

This class is taught by:

Ping Chu

Ping began studying yoga in 2005. She graduated from Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in 2006. Within the first couple of months of practicing Bikram Yoga in 2005, her lower back pain of over 20 years magically disappeared. The following several more months, her asthma of twenty years was also cured.

Ping enjoys sharing her experiences and guiding others on their own journey of yoga. Ping’s approach is warm and clear with an appreciation of the uniqueness between individuals. She also studied with senior yoga teachers in the alignment based style of Iyengar and Anusara Yoga.

Yun Shen

Yun came to Bikram Yoga as a means to lose that last 15lbs of baby weight that just wouldn't go away after having her second baby. Instead, she found a healing experience that she cannot live without. Not only did she shed the baby weight, yoga helped cure her allergies to just about everything that breathes and anything green as well as her Chronic Bronchitis. She attended the Spring 2013 Teacher Training program and has completely fallen in love with teaching since the day after graduation. She is inspired every day and with every class by the students who come take class. "They are my heroes and its my absolute honor to share energy with each and every person." Namaste!

Jin Cho

Jin (Yeonjin Cho) was introduced to Bikram Yoga in 2007 and attended Spring 2008 Teacher Training in
Mexico. Since graduating, Jin has taught in Los Angeles and D.C.

Julie Hord

Julie began practicing Bikram Yoga in July 2006 to calm her nerves and keep her occupied after her husband was deployed to Afghanistan. Little did she know how much that first day walking into the hot room would absolutely transform her life. It was one of the best decisions she’s ever made and has been an inextricable part of her life ever since. She attended Spring 2010 Teacher Training in Las Vegas and began teaching in Las Vegas, where she also served as Manager at Bikram Yoga Green Valley. In April 2011, she moved to Virginia where she now teaches and serves as Manager at Bikram Yoga Reston. She loves teaching and practicing Bikram Yoga, surrounded by positive, bright yogis, sincerely delving into their practice and becoming better, truer versions of themselves in the process. Before teaching Bikram Yoga, she was classically trained on the french horn, received her Master of Arts Management at Carnegie Mellon University and worked in arts management field. Julie enjoys spending time with her husband, their wacky muppet dog, watching (and discussing) movies, art, trying new restaurants, traveling and glitter.

Max Rosenberg

Max is a DC native and has been teaching in the area since 2010. Before teaching, he practiced Bikram Yoga for many years under the guidance of his mother, who is also a Bikram teacher. Max has a degree in Kinesiology, and enjoys delving into the scientific aspects of health, movement, and yoga. Teaching and practicing are fun and challenging, Max enjoys learning new things and collaborating with others, and is always looking for a new way to boost his yogic understanding. Other than yoga, Max has a passion for delicious and nutritious foods, and enjoys tasting new cuisines.

Reggie Meneses

After studying various movement styles, Reggie Meneses, RYT began practicing Bikram Yoga while residing in New York City in 2000. He quickly discovered that the 26 posture Bikram Yoga series took him to deeper sensations of relaxation and self-realization than anything else he had practiced in the past. Also, his chronic back pain subsided and eventually disappeared altogether within weeks of continued practice. He also lost unneeded pounds and significantly lowered his blood pressure.

Reggie is the 2010 Men's Virginia Yoga Champion and represented Virginia in the National Yoga Asana Championship in Los Angeles in March 2011. Previously in 2004, he was also the Men's Mid-Atlantic Regional Yoga Champion and represented the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC area at the Bishnu Ghosh Cup World Yoga Championship that following year in Los Angeles.

Currently, Reggie teaches a variety of classes including Pure Power, Fluid Vinyasa, and Bikram Hot Yoga.  His students represent a wide diversity of people. He has taught Bikram Yoga classes in Maryland, New York, California, Florida, and Washington, DC. He is also one of the founders of the award-winning Bikram Yoga studio in Cockeysville, Maryland.

Reggie has a Bachelor of Arts in History, a Bachelor of Science in Theatre and a Master of Fine Arts in Acting Performance. Reggie is also certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and has a certificate in Human Resource Management from George Mason University.

Reggie earned his Bikram Yoga Teacher Certification in June of 2001. When teaching Bikram Yoga, Reggie uses his theatre skills often. One of his New York City students remarked, "Reggie's instruction is positive yet firm, encouraging and focused. A great motivator and really knows how to get the best out of you." He is available by appointment for private and group instruction. Email Reggie via the studio for questions and/or appointments.

Reggie resides in Fairfax with his partner, Dave, and their rambunctious black pug, Lord Mugsley von Snuggles.

Antonia LeNguyen

Antonia’s first Bikram Yoga class was at Bikram Yoga Reston back in 2008 to nurse an ankle injury. An avid long distance runner, she became frustratingly aware of her body’s increasing lack of flexibility, too often succumbing to common sprains and injuries from training and racing. After some research into Bikram Yoga, going on faith and maybe a little desperation, she signed up. After a humbling 90 minutes, she was hooked. Her body felt alive and refreshed. The heat helped her to stretch (mostly) pain free, and eventually stretch both body and mind, to depths she could have never imagined.

For her, the teachers made all the difference in her practice. Their encouragements, coupled with their own individual passion and precision in practice of the yoga, inspired Antonia to challenge her own physical and mental growth through consistent practice of Bikram Yoga. Bikram Yoga has not only healed injuries she has sustained from all her physical activities through the years, it has improved the quality of her activities, and overall quality of life.

She graduated from Teacher Training in the fall 2013. She is a proud a Bikram Yoga teacher, yet humbled to serve her students. She feels blessed to belong to a mindful, loving, & incredibly supportive global yoga community. She teaches with all of her former and fellow teachers’ essences, for they will always inspire her through their love for the yoga, and their passion for sharing this brilliant series.

Namaste

Dagmar B

I am a true example and a believer that Bikram yoga works. After a bumpy road and many challenges Bikram Yoga brought a light into my life and became a lighthouse during the dark days. It changed my body, heart, soul, life. Also as a child, I wanted to do gymnastic and dance, but they told me that I am “fat, old and not flexible”, so i could not.
But when I was 27 I took my very first Bikram yoga class and no one told me that I am “fat, old or not flexible", because for yoga “you’re never too old, never too bad, never too late and never too sick to start from the scratch once again.”- Bikram Choudhury.

I was immediately hooked and since then I am practicing daily.

Dagmar is certified Bikram Yoga instructor since Spring 2013. If you would like to know more about her, come and take her class, you will definitely realize who she is and what she believes in. Or, just grab her in the lobby if you have any questions.

Carol Neiler

After several years of practice, Carol graduated from San Diego 2010 Teacher Training. With a background in Massage Therapy, her thorough knowledge of human anatomy/physiology and musculoskeletal anatomy, gives her an in depth perspective of each posture. She brings a light sense of humor into each class, to keep you smiling as you sweat. Carol's happy and encouraging nature fits the entire spectrum of student, whether it be beginner or veteran.

Malina Eppley

Malina Eppley, from the age of six years old, performed and later instructed Indonesian traditional dance internationally. This passion for performance and instruction continues as she dedicates herself to yoga. Malina began her yoga journey in 2009 where she took classes at the Embassy of India in Jakarta.

She continued her yoga journey in the United States where she became a practitioner of Iyengar yoga, and later Vinyasa yoga. Then in 2012, she walked into Bikram Yoga Reston. Once she had experienced Bikram Yoga, she found her calling. She found a new practice that helped her overcome the postpartum syndrome she experienced after having twins. In the spring of 2014, Malina attended and completed the Bikram Teacher Training in Los Angeles.
