Yun Shen

Yun came to Bikram Yoga as a means to lose that last 15lbs of baby weight that just wouldn't go away after having her second baby. Instead, she found a healing experience that she cannot live without. Not only did she shed the baby weight, yoga helped cure her allergies to just about everything that breathes and anything green as well as her Chronic Bronchitis. She attended the Spring 2013 Teacher Training program and has completely fallen in love with teaching since the day after graduation. She is inspired every day and with every class by the students who come take class. "They are my heroes and its my absolute honor to share energy with each and every person." Namaste!

Tandy Gustin

Tandy is a Montana native but resides on the east coast because of…well, professionally it makes, um sense if you…geez, love. Love is what keeps her here. She’s been a Bikram conduit since 2003 and is convinced it’s what keeps her mostly sane. She received her doctorate in nurse anesthesia practice this year, which means she’ll put you to sleep for your surgery. Even better though, she’ll wake you up when it’s over!

Malina Eppley

Malina Eppley, from the age of six years old, performed and later instructed Indonesian traditional dance internationally. This passion for performance and instruction continues as she dedicates herself to yoga. Malina began her yoga journey in 2009 where she took classes at the Embassy of India in Jakarta.

She continued her yoga journey in the United States where she became a practitioner of Iyengar yoga, and later Vinyasa yoga. Then in 2012, she walked into Bikram Yoga Reston. Once she had experienced Bikram Yoga, she found her calling. She found a new practice that helped her overcome the postpartum syndrome she experienced after having twins. In the spring of 2014, Malina attended and completed the Bikram Teacher Training in Los Angeles.

Ping Chu

Ping began studying yoga in 2005. She graduated from Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in 2006. Within the first couple of months of practicing Bikram Yoga in 2005, her lower back pain of over 20 years magically disappeared. The following several more months, her asthma of twenty years was also cured.

Ping enjoys sharing her experiences and guiding others on their own journey of yoga. Ping’s approach is warm and clear with an appreciation of the uniqueness between individuals. She also studied with senior yoga teachers in the alignment based style of Iyengar and Anusara Yoga.

Max Rosenberg

Max is a DC native and has been teaching in the area since 2010. Before teaching, he practiced Bikram Yoga for many years under the guidance of his mother, who is also a Bikram teacher. Max has a degree in Kinesiology, and enjoys delving into the scientific aspects of health, movement, and yoga. Teaching and practicing are fun and challenging, Max enjoys learning new things and collaborating with others, and is always looking for a new way to boost his yogic understanding. Other than yoga, Max has a passion for delicious and nutritious foods, and enjoys tasting new cuisines.

Antonia LeNguyen

Antonia’s first Bikram Yoga class was at Bikram Yoga Reston back in 2008 to nurse an ankle injury. An avid long distance runner, she became frustratingly aware of her body’s increasing lack of flexibility, too often succumbing to common sprains and injuries from training and racing. After some research into Bikram Yoga, going on faith and maybe a little desperation, she signed up. After a humbling 90 minutes, she was hooked. Her body felt alive and refreshed. The heat helped her to stretch (mostly) pain free, and eventually stretch both body and mind, to depths she could have never imagined.

For her, the teachers made all the difference in her practice. Their encouragements, coupled with their own individual passion and precision in practice of the yoga, inspired Antonia to challenge her own physical and mental growth through consistent practice of Bikram Yoga. Bikram Yoga has not only healed injuries she has sustained from all her physical activities through the years, it has improved the quality of her activities, and overall quality of life.

She graduated from Teacher Training in the fall 2013. She is a proud a Bikram Yoga teacher, yet humbled to serve her students. She feels blessed to belong to a mindful, loving, & incredibly supportive global yoga community. She teaches with all of her former and fellow teachers’ essences, for they will always inspire her through their love for the yoga, and their passion for sharing this brilliant series.
