Reggie received his Bikram Yoga Instructor Certification in the Spring of 2001. Reggie is a long time yoga practitioner. After studying various movement styles, Reggie began practicing Bikram Yoga while residing in New York City in 2000.
He quickly discovered that the Bikram Yoga series took him to deeper sensations of relaxation and self-realization than anything else he had practiced in the past. Reggie transitioned from weight lifting to yoga after experiencing back pain. Yoga has helped him to relieve his back issues, maintain fitness, and journey on the path of self-realization and motivate others. He has a passion for the benefits of yoga and sharing yoga with others.
Reggie has a Bachelor of Arts in History, a Bachelor of Science in Theatre and a Master of Fine Arts in Acting Performance. When teaching Bikram Yoga, Reggie uses his theatre skills often. One of his New York City students remarked, “Reggie’s instruction is positive yet firm, encouraging and focused. A great motivator and really knows how to get the best out of you.”
Currently, Reggie teaches a variety of classes including Pure Power, Fluid Vinyasa, and Bikram Hot Yoga. In his free time, Reggie spends time with his partner and enjoys walking their dogs, Lord Mugsley von Snuggles, a rambunctious black pug, and Smokey, the feisty Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix.
