Common questions

FAQ

What is an HSA or FSA?

A Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) lets you set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for qualified medical expenses. By using these funds, you effectively get a discount equal to your tax rate, typically 20% to 35%.

What is a Letter of Medical Necessity?

A Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) is a document from a licensed healthcare provider confirming that a service, like yoga, is medically appropriate for your condition. It makes your yoga membership eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement.

How much does the qualification process cost?

There is a one-time $20 fee to complete the Truemed telehealth intake. This can also be reimbursed through your HSA or FSA. Given the average 30% savings on your membership, most members recoup this cost within the first month.

How long does approval take?

Once you complete the telehealth intake and pay the $20 fee, you'll receive your Letter of Medical Necessity within 6 hours. About 99% of applicants who reach the payment screen are approved.

Does anything change about my membership?

Nothing changes. You continue to pay for your Reston Yoga membership as usual. The LMN simply allows you to submit those receipts to your HSA or FSA account for reimbursement.

How long is the Letter of Medical Necessity valid?

Your LMN is valid for 12 months. You can use it to submit all your Reston Yoga receipts during that period for reimbursement from your HSA or FSA.
